2023 Future Foster Sign-Up

Requirements:

  • Must live within ONE hour of the rescue (45 Whitney Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430).

  • All adults in the home must agree to foster.

After you submit your form:

We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know your application was approved. Upon intake, we will e-mail and text you with possible fosters that we believe would be a good fit for you. Please let us know if you can or cannot accept the kitten(s) immediately so we know if we have to contact the next person on the roster.

Preparing for your foster:

Depending on the age of the kitten(s) you are fostering, you may want to prep your home differently. Please check the supply list below to make sure you have what you need, we can supply you with blankets, bedding, kitten milk replacer, bottles and syringes, a litter box, etc. We can occasionally provide food and litter for when donations allow.

Supplies you may need:

Newborn to 4-weeks old:

  • Small playpen

  • Blankets and beds

  • Bottle or Syringe for feeding

  • Kitten Milk Replacer

  • Litter box (for 3-weeks old+)

5-weeks old to 8-weeks old:

  • Medium to large sized playpen

  • Blankets and beds

  • SHALLOW dishes for food

  • Kitten Milk Replacer (for gruel, we will teach you how to make this)

  • Kitten wet food

  • Water dish

  • Litter box

  • Toys

9-weeks and up:

  • Large sized playpen or room to run around

  • Blankets and beds

  • Scratch Posts

  • Food dishes

  • Kitten wet food

  • Kitten dry food (to leave out during day)

  • Water dish

  • Litter Box

  • Toys
